Long before AI entered mainstream creative discussion, I was already working across illustration, storytelling, animation, multimedia production, and immersive digital learning environments. Today, I continue to explore how handcrafted creativity and intelligent systems can work together to support more emotionally intelligent and human-centred learning experiences.

I’m an award-winning creative director, serious games specialist, and immersive learning designer with over 20 years of experience designing human-centred interactive experiences across defence, humanitarian, leadership, and public sector environments.

Beyond the Work

Creativity has shaped much of my life both professionally and personally.

I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, spending much of my childhood around horses, poultry, cattle, dogs, and wider rural life. That early environment instilled a strong sense of observation, empathy, groundedness, and curiosity that still influences how I approach creative work today.

Outside of professional practice, I occasionally run creative workshops for young people focused on animation principles, storytelling, and creative thinking. I also continue to write and speak about the evolving relationship between AI, creativity, ethics, and human-centred learning design.

At its core, my work is about creating experiences that help people think differently, feel more deeply, and navigate complex human situations with greater understanding.
