Overview
This course was crafted to equip learners in the humanitarian sector with a foundational understanding of effective organizational crisis management. It is designed to be relevant to both technical and non-technical audiences.
My Role
As an instructional designer, my responsibility was to transform the subject matter experts’ (SME) information and the face-to-face course into an engaging online format. This process involved several key tasks:
- Storyboard Development: I prepared a detailed storyboard to outline the course structure and flow.
- Content Adaptation: I rewrote the content to suit an online audience, ensuring clarity and engagement.
- Scenario Creation: I developed practical scenarios to illustrate theoretical concepts, aiming to replicate the interactive and immersive experience of the face-to-face course.
Innovative Approach
I adopted a unique method by presenting the content as short audiobook entries set in a fictitious Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). This narrative approach helped in making the learning experience more relatable and engaging for the learners.
